Wrinkle Relaxers Services in Santee, CA
OUR NEURO TOXIN LINEUP
Our injectors use Toxin Injections to soften wrinkles and fine lines around the eyes and restore a refreshed, vibrant look. Our injection specialists have the training and experience to create results that look natural and preserve the expressiveness of your face. Neurotoxin Injections are one of the most popular cosmetic treatment in the world and one of the safest, but getting the desired results requires a knowledgeable injector who understands how much product is needed–and where–to address your specific concern
The different brand name products are very similar in practice; each has a unique formulation that may make one more closely suited to your needs. Here at ECMG, we offer BOTOX, Dysport®, and Xeomin®—and we will happily help you determine which product is the best fit for you.
How They Work
The mechanism behind Toxin Injections is to temporarily immobilize the muscles that create dynamic wrinkles. Because it limits muscle contractions, Neurotoxin Injections can also help delay the onset of new dynamic wrinkles from developing.
Many patients use Neurotoxin Injections as a preventive measure to stop wrinkles before they become etched into the skin – decreasing the amount and intensity of treatments they will need later in life.
What to Expect
Our guests usually say that the injections–made with a very fine needle–feel like a tiny pinch.
After you describe your cosmetic goals to the injector, she analyzes your face and determines the optimal injection locations. The injection process itself takes between 10 and 15 minutes, with the actual injections taking only seconds. There is little or no downtime following the procedure, although you may experience a bit of tenderness, swelling, bruising or redness.
BOTOX Cosmetic
You may be a candidate for BOTOX Cosmetic if you would like to treat facial wrinkles in the forehead, between the eyes, and in the “crow’s feet” areas around your eyes. BOTOX works by weakening the muscles that cause facial expressions. Once the treated muscles are weakened, the pull of the muscle relaxes and the skin flattens.
Xeomin
Xeomin is made from the same key ingredient as BOTOX and Dysport: botulinum toxin type A.
The main difference is that Xeomin is a “naked” neurotoxin—there are no buffer proteins around the botulinum molecules, as there are in BOTOX and Dysport.
Xeomin can spread more readily. Without the buffer proteins, Xeomin can move along the muscles a little more quickly than other neurotoxins.
Results may be visible more quickly with Xeomin than BOTOX.Average onset of results is 3 to 4 days with Xeomin, vs. about 7 to 10 days with BOTOX.
Microneedling
Dysport
In April, 2009, the FDA approved a BOTOX-comparable product for temporarily smooth wrinkles in the upper face: Dysport. Although new to the U.S., Dysport has been used overseas for many years.
Dysport works by temporarily relaxing facial muscles. It is made with the same ingredient as BOTOX: botulinum toxin type A. Like BOTOX, it tends to be most effective in treating wrinkles caused by muscles related to expression lines around the eyes, forehead, and mouth.
